Two hundred milligrams of the amino acid, the joint largest entry on the panel. Here is what it is, what it does in the body, and how that amount compares with a meal.
L-arginine is one of the twenty amino acids that build protein, and it is called conditionally essential. That means a healthy adult can make enough of it, but illness, injury or rapid growth can push demand past supply.
It matters here because of one specific job. An enzyme in the lining of your blood vessels, nitric oxide synthase, takes arginine and produces nitric oxide. Nitric oxide tells the smooth muscle in a vessel wall to relax, and the vessel widens. That discovery earned a Nobel Prize in 1998 and it is the reason arginine turns up in circulation formulas, sports powders and brain supplements alike.
Arginine is also part of the urea cycle, which is how the body gets rid of nitrogen, and it is used to make creatine and proline. It is a busy molecule.
MemoClear declares L-arginine (base) at 200 mg per capsule, with two asterisks beside it meaning no daily value has been established. There is no official reference intake for arginine, so no percentage can honestly be given.
For scale: an ordinary mixed diet supplies somewhere between three and six grams of arginine a day, and a chicken breast alone carries well over a gram. What the capsule adds is a measured, repeatable amount on top of that, printed in plain figures instead of folded into a blend.
The capsule also carries 200 mg of the AKG form, which is arginine bound to alpha-ketoglutarate, so the total arginine in a capsule is larger than the first line alone suggests.
Turkey and chicken, pork, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, soybeans, chickpeas, lentils and dairy. A normal mixed diet supplies several grams of arginine a day, which is worth holding in mind next to a 200 mg capsule.

L-Arginine (base) is declared as 200 mg per capsule, no daily value established. It is one of seven entries, and every one of them carries its own amount: there is no proprietary blend on this product. The full panel is on the supplement facts page.

Amino acid. The panel groups it with the other declared entries rather than inside a blend.
More than the first line suggests. There is 200 mg of the base form and another 200 mg carried in the AKG salt, each declared on its own line instead of being merged into one number.
Because the two work on the same pathway from different directions. Citrulline passes through the gut and liver easily and the kidney converts it into arginine, so a formula carrying both covers more ground than one carrying either alone.
Protein, mostly. Turkey and chicken, pork, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, soybeans, chickpeas, lentils and dairy are all good sources, which is why a mixed diet already supplies several grams a day.
