How MemoClear works

Eight plain steps, the vocabulary on the panel explained, and an honest note about where the seller's diagram and the bottle disagree.

9 minute readWritten from the panel

There is an honest version of this page and a dishonest one. The dishonest version draws an arrow into a picture of a neuron and tells you what happens there. The honest version explains what is known about each ingredient, what the label instructs, and where the evidence stops.

What follows is the honest version. Every step below describes either an instruction printed on the carton or a piece of physiology that is well established. None of it is a claim that MemoClear will change how you think, because that is not something a dietary supplement may claim and not something the manufacturer has published a study to support.

Take it before a meal

One capsule, an 8 oz glass of water, 20 to 30 minutes before eating. That is the label's own instruction and there is no reason to improve on it.

The shell dissolves

Hypromellose is plant cellulose. It breaks apart in the stomach within minutes and releases the powder. Nothing here is designed to release slowly.

Absorption in the small intestine

Amino acids cross the gut wall through transporters shared with the protein in your food, which is the practical reason the label prefers an empty stomach.

Citrulline is converted to arginine

The kidney turns citrulline back into arginine. Taken by mouth, citrulline raises blood arginine more reliably than arginine itself does, because a good deal of swallowed arginine is broken down before it gets anywhere. That is why a formula carries both.

Arginine feeds nitric oxide synthase

An enzyme in the lining of blood vessels uses arginine to make nitric oxide, which relaxes the smooth muscle in the vessel wall so the vessel widens. This is textbook physiology, first described in the 1980s and recognised with a Nobel Prize in 1998.

Beta alanine builds carnosine

Beta alanine is the rate-limiting piece your body needs to make carnosine, which is stored mostly in muscle. At 40 mg a day this is a small contribution.

Niacin does vitamin work

Niacin is a precursor for NAD, a coenzyme every cell uses to move energy around. At 47% of the daily value the capsule makes a real contribution to intake.

Repeat tomorrow

Thirty capsules is a month. Regularity is the only part of this entirely in your hands.

The seller's diagram

How MemoClear is presented on the bottle

What the seller’s diagram shows

Six areas of support, set out the way a manufacturer sets them out. It is the seller’s own artwork and it is reproduced here as supplied.

The useful companion to a picture like this is the panel itself, which gives seven names and seven figures with nothing folded into a blend. Both are on this site: the graphic here, and the supplement facts in full.

A realistic timeline

What the first month actually looks like

No supplement has an onset time the way a drug does. This is about habit, not effect.

Week one

You are learning a routine and nothing else. Most people find a slot and stay in it: beside the kettle, next to the toothbrush, in a desk drawer.

Weeks two to four

The first bottle empties on day thirty. That is the natural moment to ask whether anything is different, and to write the answer down rather than trust your memory of it.

After the first bottle

People who continue usually order three or six at a time. The sixty-day refund window is counted from delivery, not from the day the last capsule is gone.

Nothing above is a prediction. It describes how people report using a monthly bottle and carries no promise that you will notice anything at any point.

Questions

How MemoClear works: the questions people send

The label asks for it 20 to 30 minutes before a meal, which is the manufacturer's own preference. Amino acids do compete with the ones in food for absorption, so the instruction is reasonable. Whether it changes anything you would notice is not something this site can promise.

Alpha-ketoglutarate, a compound your cells already make as part of the citric acid cycle. Bound to arginine in a 2:1 ratio it forms a salt that keeps well in a capsule. The page on L-arginine AKG goes into it.

The label declares L-citrulline HCL and L-citrulline malate separately, 100 mg each. They are the same amino acid paired with different partners — hydrochloric acid and malic acid — which changes how the raw powder behaves rather than what the citrulline itself is.
